Bridges were first built in Egypt.The Romans made bridges into a fine art and some bridges were spectacular.

Cities are often recognized by their bridges,or rivers.some cities are built with bridges like Hamburg,or Venice.Most Roman cities have beautiful bridges.

There a brilliant constructions.Some bridges are dangerous,some purely functional.

Venice is a city of romantic beautiful bridges.

There are bridges for trains,bridges for trains.Bridges to islands:Many different styles.

Is there a particular bridge in your town or city? Or a bridge that you remember?

I once made a film about canals and wrote about some of the bridges.Some canals had long bridges specially for boats.

The stepping stones pictured were scary to cross.
