Love songs for robots, and our approaching new world

Love songs for robots

Is the new vision of a virtual world, something to be enthusiastic about?
Was your life better before computers?
I look back on living in the countryside and walking my collie, life seemed more enjoyable, had few possessions, lived on a barge and a farm.
I loved tv in those days, now I don't have one.I used to love comedy, like Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers etc., and plays. Loved westerns and thrillers, not sure I enjoy many of todays sci-fi movies.

I cant imagine walking round wearing goggles in a virtual world. The world we have can be better, and it's reality, not always perfect.
I looked forward to normality after lockdowns and covid, but that never really happened.

I like the world we have/had - when times are good nothing better.
A day on the beach, on a boat, with friends. Dinner parties, parties, chatting with friends,
When tv first came out people sat in a dark room watching it, eating sandwiches with friends.
I like games too…Backgammon,Scruples,Monopoly.
Used to play Dungeons on my first computer, so games might be good.
Perhaps we should improve real communications with other people on a day to day basis, rather than spending so much time on a parallel universe?
Reading for pleasure appears to almost be  a lost skill by many.
I overheard two teens discuss reading.
1/ I read a lot…I felt pleased.
2/ So do I
(great),
1/ I spend a lot of time on A M A Z O N.
(Help!).

Should we so readily be channeled into a metaverse

So, let's discuss our favorite movies, books and writers, past times, chat, post memes, gifs,
and music. Many here love music, gardening, the beach, constructive and enjoyable communication.
Respect other commenters…enjoy your chats.
